Goa Institute Of Management has had a tradition of organizing national level conferences every year covering a wide range of critical issues ranging from FMCG, Retail & Patents to Logistics. The underlying objective of such events was to enable a forum where industry leaders, GIM faculty and students could deliberate on the most pressing issues pertaining to the industry.
Carrying forward the same tradition, it is my pleasure to invite you to ‘SAMRIDDHI – Financing India’s Development’ a two day national level Finance conference organized in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).The conference will be organised at Goa on the 8th & 9th of September, 2007. India Inc. has been growing at a rapid pace during the last few years. Today 15 years after liberalization we are beginning to face new kinds of challenges, many of them related to Finance. Our stock markets are becoming globally integrated, corporate fund‐raising is becoming a challenge, and delivering value to all sections of the pyramid through micro‐finance is a huge task.
Now, more than a decade after its inception, GIM seeks to address all these issues through ‘Samriddhi’. Spread over two days and 5 sessions, ‘Samriddhi’ will have some of the best minds in India as its key note speakers. Participating in the deliberations of the conference will be delegates and dignitaries from the finest financial and non‐financial companies. Providing inputs will be GIM’s distinguished faculty. All this will be facilitated by the student community. The objective is to present the varied perspectives of all the stakeholders involved in any particular subject.
